After 36 incredible years, today marks the final chapter of Sue Blanchard's journey with LHUSD. 🎓💙
Sue has been the steady, calming voice and reassuring presence that has guided our school community through countless moments—both big and small. From welcoming students through registration to putting out fires behind the scenes with grace and wisdom, she's been the backbone of our school family.
What makes Sue truly special? She's watched generations grow up here. Some of our staff were once her students who visited her in the front office. Some of our students' parents sat in these same halls when she was already making a difference. Her voice on the morning announcements has been the soundtrack to our days—a familiar comfort we won't soon forget.
Sue, your kindness, your dedication, and your unwavering calm have left an imprint on every single person who's had the privilege of knowing you. You've done more than a job—you've built a legacy.
Enjoy this well-deserved retirement, Mrs. Blanchard. You will be deeply missed. 💛

Last Friday, they visited four of our elementary schools—Starline, Oro Grande, Havasupai, and Smoketree. Students volunteered at school sites, mentor younger students, and supported campus initiatives. From one-on-one help to hands-on service projects, these students proved that kindness and community spirit are alive and well.
Thank you, NJHS! Thank you to the elementary schools that allowed us to visit and give back! 💛

In honor of International Firefighters Day, these young leaders assembled gift bags for every fire department in Lake Havasu City and Desert Hills. With help from our families, the gifts were delivered to each station today!
Our students learned that true leadership means showing gratitude, serving others, and supporting those who keep us safe.
Thank you to our firefighters for your bravery and dedication. 🙏❤️

When Mrs. Barney stepped into the role of interim principal a year and a half ago, we didn't just get a leader—we got someone who genuinely cares. And that makes all the difference.
She leads with compassion, but she also holds us accountable. She believes in us enough to push us forward, and that combination? It brings out the best in our entire school community.
Mrs. Barney has an incredible gift for looking at data—the numbers, the trends, the patterns—and helping us see what we might miss on our own. She doesn't just identify gaps; she helps us understand them and move toward solutions. That's the mark of a true instructional leader.
Mrs. Barney puts students first. Every decision, every conversation, every late night—it all comes back to what's best for the young people in our district. That clarity of purpose ripples through everything she does.
Thank you, Mrs. Barney, for your incredible leadership, your unwavering support, and for showing us what it looks like to lead with both a head and a heart.
🎉 You are incredible!

Please take a few minutes to check it out!

💜 PURPLE UP DAY 💜
Wednesday, our school community came together to honor the brave men and women who serve our country. Purple Up Day recognizes and celebrates the military-connected families in our community. Students wore purple to show solidarity with those who serve, and today our families joined us to make it extra special. 💪
Here's what made Purple Up Day amazing:
✨ Military Recognition – We celebrated the service members among us
✨ Flag Folding Ceremony – A solemn and meaningful tribute by Marine Corp League Detachment 757
✨ Community BBQ – Thanks to Taher for keeping everyone fueled on the patio!
A huge thank you to all our military families for your service and sacrifice. Your courage inspires us every single day.
To our students: you showed such respect and pride on Wednesday.
We see you. We honor you. Thank you for your service. 💜

When our middle schoolers took the stage, they brought the magic—performing an incredible collection of songs from their favorite musicals! 🎬✨
This production was truly a district effort. We're so grateful to our amazing mentors who traveled to support these students:
✨ Mrs. Murphy (Starline Elementary)
✨ Mrs. Vesley & Ms. Iseminger (Jamaica Elementary)
✨ Mr. Fallis (LHHS)
Your guidance, encouragement, and belief in these kids helped them shine on stage. You've shown them what it means to dream big and work hard. 💚
Proud of our students. Grateful for our village. 🎉
