We wrapped up Friday with an incredible Pep Assembly, all thanks to our amazing Student Council! ♥️💫 The Band delivered a fantastic performance that had everyone cheering. Student Council organized some fun games, like musical chairs, where teachers and students went head-to-head. There was also a crowd scavenger hunt and a thrilling "guess or trade the box" game, where only one box held a prize. The event concluded with an exciting sneak peek of our Spirit Week happening next week!

Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming future 7th graders and their families for orientation, and it was a fantastic turnout! 🎉 We had an amazing time guiding everyone around our beautiful campus. Students explored classrooms and got a sneak peek into the fun exploratories they'll be able to dive into! Our friends from Taher even shared some delicious insights into what mealtimes will look like at Thunderbolt. And what’s an event without a treat? We had free sample cookies that were a hit with everyone! 🍪 Student Council introduced their upcoming applications, reminding everyone how they can get involved and make a difference. Booster Club shared they are looking for parents for our Booster Club to help carry on the great work next year – we can't do it without YOU! 🤝

On Monday, March 2nd, we're celebrating Read Across America with a special spirit day.
Students are invited to dress as their favorite book character! Whether it's a classic novel character, a graphic novel superhero, or anyone from the pages of a book you love—come dressed and ready to celebrate reading.
Need inspiration? Think Spiderman, Harry Potter, Katniss, Elsa, or any character that brings a story to life. If it's from a book, it counts!

Lake Havasu High School's National Honor Society chapter hosted Thunderbolt Middle School's National Junior Honor Society chapter for an inspiring luncheon filled with hands-on activities and meaningful connections.
It was a fantastic opportunity for our younger students to connect with high school leaders, gain insight into what NHS has to offer, the typical day at LHHS, practice public speaking, and celebrate their achievements. Our students had an absolute blast and created memories they'll treasure!

A huge thank you to Lake Havasu High School's NHS chapter for welcoming us and making this event so special!

Our Class of 2030 (current 8th graders) met with LHHS counselors on Wednesday to pick their high school courses !

We wrapped the day with a friendly Parent Presentation led by LHHS counselors to share what to expect in high school.

Parents learned about upcoming dates, class placements, and the electives that students chose. Students left feeling prepared and excited for their next steps.

Thanks to everyone who joined — students, families, and our counselors! It was such a positive and helpful experience! 🎓💫

Mrs. Severson has been a dedicated teacher and coach for both softball and track at Thunderbolt. Her passion for sports and fitness truly shines. A student shared, she "made me believe in myself." This sentiment perfectly capatures the impact she has on her students. With her unwavering commitment, she spearheaded efforts to transform our small gym into the school's new weight room, reaching out for donations and support to make it a reality. As a result, she has introduced strength and conditioning programs that benefit all of Thunderbolt's athletes. Additionally, she covers for other teachers as needed and leads weekly staff workout sessions, promoting health and wellness within the entire team. Currently, she is mentoring a student teacher, sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport. Her students absolutely adore her; she arrives each day with a bright smile, ready to foster positive and meaningful connections with everyone she meets. Truly, she is a champion for her students in every sense of the word. Congratulations Mrs. Severson!

NJHS students joined Lake Havasu High School Student Council and community leaders for an inspiring Leadership Luncheon! Big thanks to Allison Blum and Ms. Bracamonte for their powerful presentation, and to Student Council for organizing such an amazing event. Our students learned that leadership starts with showing up, believing in themselves, and making a difference — and they practiced setting SMART goals too. Special thanks to Mrs. Ulmer for her help! #Leadership #NJHS #StudentLeaders
