Today, Thunderbolt hosted a special assembly for visiting 6th graders from Jamaica, Oro Grande, Nautilus, Starline, Smoketree, and Havasupai. The band and choir performed songs from their upcoming May concert, giving the future Thundercats a preview of the exciting music programs. The event also featured an introduction to the school’s administration, counselors, and an overview of various extracurricular activities, including sports and clubs. It was a fantastic opportunity for incoming students to get a taste of what Thunderbolt has to offer as they prepare for middle school life.
In honor of Pi Day, 3/14, we are having a Pie a Staff Member Competition. Now through March 6th, you can donate money to a specific container in the office featuring a teacher's name. The staff member who raises the most money will get pied in the face! On March 14th, we will watch a video of the winning teacher getting pied! The money raised will help fund the 8th grade dance and other activities. The eligible teachers to donate to are Mrs. Bonsang, Mrs. Callen, Ms. Eberling, Mr. Hansen, Mrs. Lehmann, Mrs. Love, and Mrs. Tefft. Let's fill the jars!
Track and Field Practice begins on Wednesday, February 19th. Practices will be held Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 2:45-4:15 p.m. (change of days from parent meeting). Athletes should wear athletic shorts, shirt, running shoes, hair up and no jewelry. Don't forget water!

Spring Picture Day is Friday, February 14th. Order online at mylifetouch.com by 11:00 a.m. on picture day. Picture Day ID is EVTDZF86H. Only students who order in advance or bring money will have their picture taken. Envelopes are available in the office.
Attention 8th Graders: The LHHS CTE Open House is Wednesday, February 12th in the LHHS PAC. Presentation is at 5:30 and from 6:00-7:00 p.m. tour the CTE classrooms to learn more about the programs offered for next year.
Baseball Tryouts: Wednesday, February 12th - 6:00-8:00 p.m. at ASU field. Bring/wear baseball attire, bat, glove, helmet, and water.
Softball Tryouts: Wednesday, February 12th - 3:00-6:00 p.m. and Thursday, February 13th - 1:00-3:00 p.m. on the Thunderbolt softball field. Bring/wear softball attire, bat, glove, helmet, and water.
Track and Field begins Wednesday, February 19th - 2:45-4:15 p.m. Wear athletic shorts/shirt, running shoes, water, hair up, and no jewelry. Practices will be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:45-4:15 p.m.
